We believe that neighborhood improvement solutions must come from people who are the most affected by the conditions in order to enact the greatest change. Over the last year, the Community Engagement outreach team engaged over 7,500 South L.A. residents, door to door, street by street. The outreach team connected residents with resources to support economic sustainability and engaged them in community-wide dialogues and grass-roots actions to advocate for the types of communities they saw for their families, children and neighbors.
